BhamDeveloper.com

I was recently informed of a new website called BhamDeveloper.com that was created by a local developer named Shawn Weekly.  Here is a description of the site from the homepage:

BhamDeveloper.com's goal is to provide a place where Birmingham's IT professional's can market their skills and talents to businesses in the Birmingham Metro area and beyond.  Our members represent some of the best IT talent to be had in the area, and businesses in the Birmingham, Alabama and surrounding areas can use this site to gather information about professionals who can provide high quality and low cost solutions to their technical issues.

You should definitely check it out if you work in the Birmingham area.  Registration is free of charge.  There is a lot of potential for this site to become a great resource for local developers.

It is encouraging to see a steadily increasing number of people become more involved in the local developer community.  Kudos to Shawn for putting this together.

Thanks for the plug Jeff!  BhamDeveloper has been a little dream of mine for some time now.  I have wanted to give something back to the community, and recently have been given the opportunity to do just that with the site.  We are still growing, and still finding some little bugs and issues, but we are working them out.  Thanks again!
